Farm Fresh Butter
We churn our butter in an old fashioned batch butter churn! Our butter is a high cream butter (91%+) and is used in homes and restaurants throughout the Mid-Atlantic region! A few notables that use our butter include Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, MD (from the Ace of Cakes TV show on the Food Network), Atwater’s Bakery in Baltimore, MD, Harry’s Tap Room at their three locations (Arlington, VA) and Woodbury Kitchen in Baltimore, MD. All of our butter is hand-packed and sold in .5 and 1 pound tubs and 1 pound wax wrapped blocks. We sell our butter in a variety of styles, see list below:
Organic Salted butter. The cream for this butter is sourced from 100% certified organic local family farms. We know the source of all this milk and use all milk from grass-fed cows that are given no synthetic hormones or antibiotics. The butter has a strong yellow look, this is because all the cream comes from grass fed cows! We use no additives, colorings or preservatives in any of our butters, the yellow (some times gold) comes from the high beta carotene content found in cream from grass fed cows! We use “Celtic Sea Salt” in our salted butters!
Organic UnSalted butter. The cream we use in our organic unsalted butter is sourced from the same sources as our organic salted butter. 100% certified organic local family farms that grass feed their cows! During the grass growing months of the year these cows are on pasture getting all the fresh, nutrient rich grass they want; this gives the cream it’s rich, golden yellow look! No we don’t use any additives in our butters, the only ingredient you’ll find in this butter is CREAM!
Natural Farm Fresh Salted butter. We buy the cream for our natural butter from local co-ops and processors whose farmers use no synthetic hormones. This cream is churned in our old fashioned butter churn giving you a 91% to 93% butterfat. Made with simple ingredients (Cream, Celtic Sea Salt) this butter is sure to please any discerning palate. As in the organic salted butter we use Celtic Sea Salt exclusively!
Natural Farm Fresh UnSalted butter. Just like our natural salted butter the cream we use comes from local co-ops and processors whose farmers use no synthetic hormones. With our high cream content (91% plus butterfat) this butter is your most efficient butter to use for Ghee; you will find very little foam rising to the top and a very high smoking point. We don’t use any additives, colors (natural or artificial) or preservatives in any of our butter!
